About

Hey friend! I am Miriam Provenzano, a licensed therapist specializing in trauma and chronic pain with an integrative approach.

If you’ve found your way here, you are likely navigating the challenges of complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, or a variety of symptoms that seem to defy explanation. You are not alone, and taking this step toward seeking help shows incredible courage.

I understand how frustrating it can be to feel unheard or misunderstood in your search for answers. Many of my clients have seen multiple specialists without finding lasting relief. However, I believe—and have witnessed in my practice—that healing is possible when we address the root causes of pain with an integrative and personalized approach.

About me

I graduated with honors in Clinical Psychology from Blanquerna University, completed a postgraduate degree in Integrative Psychotherapy and  Masters in Clinical and Health Psychology. My training spans a range of therapeutic methodologies that allow me to tailor treatment to your unique needs, including:

  • Lifespan Integration
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
  • Somatic Therapy
  • Clinical Hypnosis

Additionally, I pursued a certification in Women’s Health Coaching to deepen my understanding of how interconnected systems—such as hormonal health—affect mental and physical well-being.

My Approach

Every client’s story is unique, and so is every healing journey. Together, we will develop a tailored plan that considers the intricate connections between your mind and body. Using trauma-informed therapy, we’ll explore the underlying patterns contributing to emotional and physical challenges. My approach incorporates:

  • Client-centered therapy.
  • Practical techniques to help regulate the nervous system and support emotional resilience.
  • Exploration of the mind-body connection as well as subconscious work.

I believe healing is a collaborative process. You bring your lived experiences and self-knowledge, and I bring expertise in psychology and trauma recovery. This partnership allows us to create a treatment plan that works best for you, ensuring every session is meaningful and empowering.

The therapeutic setting

My goal is to create a safe, warm, and supportive environment where you can explore and heal at your own pace. I recognize the importance of building trust and rapport as healing often requires feeling seen and understood, and I aim to provide a space that feels welcoming without being overly clinical or impersonal.

Choosing a therapist is an important step in your healing process. My approach may resonate if you are looking for someone who:

  • Balances professional knowledge with empathy and genuine connection.
  • Values a tailored, integrative approach to healing.
  • Believes in addressing both emotional and physical aspects of well-being.

If this aligns with what you’re seeking, I encourage you to reach out. I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey to wellbeing.

The relationship you have with your therapist is a key component of the process as the therapeutic alliance promotes changes beyond the techniques used. So you gotta ask yourself what you value in a therapist as well as feel comfortable to be yourself in their presence. Credentials are great but you need to feel comfortable and resonate with their energy. Many of you have seen me on social media so you may know if I am a good match for you, but if you just found my website, feel free to schedule a free consultation call with me to see if we are a good fit.

At this time all my sessions are done online. Given that I work with clients from many different locations, I let go of my office and currently work entirely online. However, if you desire a deeper work together, I am able to travel to your location for a more immersive experience. Rates for this service vary depending on location.

I work in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Catalan.

A computer, laptop, or phone; a stable wifi connection, and a quiet space by yourself where you can sit comfortably.
